Brock Lesnar put Matt Riddle in his place at Royal Rumble, what was said?

As reported shortly after the Royal Rumble, Matt Riddle and Brock Lesnar were involved in a verbal altercation backstage, and now more information has come to light on what actually happened.

It’s no secret Riddle has been tweeting about Lesnar for years and has said he will retire The Beast and it came to a head at the Rumble. TalkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy reports that Brock Lesnar actually approach Riddle and grabbed his shoulder to get his attention, then said:

“Kid, you might as well stop saying my name and tagging me in $#!+ because you and I will never work together. Ever.”

Riddle, who has is no stranger to backstage confrontations, tried to respond but wasn’t given the chance by Lesnar who said his piece and promptly moved on. Fightful reports that Matt “was spoken to by Brock and he understood” and that Lesnar is the “wrong one to f*** with.”

He tweeted the following today after a short Royal Rumble outing in which he was eliminated after just 41 seconds.

talking crap? Brock Lazy is the most political wrestler in the history of the biz. He makes Hogan, Nash and HHH seem normal by comparison. I see nothing wrong with wanting to take out Brock. Don’t they say something like “if you aren’t here to be world champion, you are in the wrong biz?” I.e aim for the top. That is exactly what Riddle is doing

Because Riddle has been talking crap about ending peoples careers before even making the main roster. It’s disrespectful and simply shows everyone that hes just an attention seeker. Riddles gimmick is already stale and hes been around for like 5 minutes.

  • Broken_MattHardy

Interesting you say this. Cuz Lesnar got catapulted to the main event scene beating everyone before he deserved it. So why not Riddle?

  • Broken_MattHardy

Brock Lazy, too lazy to even let Riddle talk back to him. What a joke.

  • Broken_MattHardy

Brock would get winded. He would have to force the grappling game as his stand-up game is basic, and that would put him in a compromising position.

I get you. Yeah Lesnar is definitely the more well known and I can acknowledge that. He is over and people love watching him wrestle.

Riddle doesn’t have the same charisma in ring. I’m just not a huge fan of Lesnar’s general attitude and the way people ride his nuts like he’s some kind of fighting god.

    You are very right there.

  • Michael Justin Arnold

I meant as a Pro Wrestler. Lesnar will be long retired before Riddle deserves to main event a ppv with him.

Lets be honest tho, neither were that impressive in MMA

  • PrettyFnDangerous

“Rookie” with a better fight record. But sure.

  • Michael Justin Arnold

Weak? I cant stand Lesnar, but lets be honest…He didnt feel like wasting his time on a rookie. Riddle has a big mouth and a lot of stupid stuff comes out. Brock told him the truth and kept walking.

  • Michael Justin Arnold

I wouldnt be bragging about Riddle’s MMA record. Whats he gonna do out grapple Lesnar?

  • PrettyFnDangerous

And Riddle technically has a win over Jon Jones in his history. Lol. Point is they both know how to fight/wrestle. But making a quick comment and bailing was pretty weak.

  • PrettyFnDangerous

Not likely. Since Riddle literally has a better MMA record than Brock Lesnar. But yeah, lol.

yeah it’s not like that tough guy could squash him like a bug right? At least he was civilized
