Brock Lesnar Told To Stop Vince McMahon By Big Name

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been on an unstoppable run and he was able to unify the WWE and Universal Championships by defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. ‘The Tribal Chief’ has not defended the championship on television since then but that could change in the coming weeks. He is scheduled to put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match at the SummerSlam premium live event. WWE recently revealed last night that this will be the last match ever between Brock and The Head of the Table.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently noted that Reigns could be affected by the allegations against Vince McMahon on an episode of Writing with Russo.

Vince Russo talks about the impact on Roman Reigns

Vince McMahon recently got involved in a fresh controversy. The latest Wall Street Journal story on Vince alleged that he paid at least 4 women over 16 years to cover up sexual misconduct. After the report about additional non-disclosure agreements that were signed to keep women quiet, many are wondering if more people will come out with accusations. Vince reportedly reacted to the allegations. In quite an interesting development from the Sports Business Journal, McMahon reached a settlement with former XFL commissioner Oliver Luck.

It does not appear any more women signed NDAs. There could be others who didn’t want to burn bridges with WWE who decided against seeking a settlement. It remains to be seen if any will speak out. It turns out Vince is no selling the matter. While many might think this has affected sponsors, that is not the case. It has also come to light that Vince might not be under too much of pressure. The latest Wall Street Journal story on Vince doesn’t appear to have much of an effect on WWE business and McMahon seems to be not bothered by anything. It also seems that Vince does not have pressure on him.

The former WWE writer noted that many stars could now be looking to distance themselves from McMahon following the investigation. He even dropped names like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns into the conversation while explaining that if McMahon goes down, then many stars will not want to be connected to him:

“I guarantee you too with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, bro, I’m just telling you man, if Vince goes down, you don’t want to be in bed with him at this point in time (…) I think there is going to be a distancing period from Vince McMahon bro, I really believe that.”

Roman Reigns has not wrestled on WWE’s last two premium live events and he is set to defend his titles against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
