The Universal Champion has been absent from Monday Night Raw for quite some time. It’s understandable why he’s been scarce, storyline wise, considering Braun Strowman has been waiting for an opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
Outside of that, however, his absence has been an issue for Raw and the WWE Universe. While fans have been frustrated with the whole situation, the WWE has cashed in on their outrage, with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and most recently, Kurt Angle, calling Brock Lesnar out. Last week, Angle told Paul Heyman that if Lesnar didn’t defend his championship at Summerslam, he’d be stripped of the title.

With his #1 contender being decided tonight on Raw, it seems that the Beast Incarnate will finally make an appearance next week. WWE announced on Twitter that the Universal Champion would finally return to Raw on July 30 to address his challenger, either Bobby Lashley or Roman Reigns.
