Brock Lesnar’s original Wrestlemania plans changed, Corey Graves blasts AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon, Rusev undergoes surgery

– According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar was at one point set to take on Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 33. All that changed, however, when Goldberg decided to sign on with the company for a bit longer through Wrestlemania. Meltzer says, however, that the match would not have happened anyway as Lesnar got himself out of it. ‘The Beast’ reportedly “certainly didn’t want to do” it.

– On yesterday’s episode of Bring It To The Table Corey Graves and JBL discussed the possibility of seeing AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 33. You can check out what they had to say here:

JBL:

“I love it,” JBL admitted. “You’ve got one of the greatest characters ever in Shane McMahon, along with one of the greatest wrestlers of all time in AJ Styles.”

Graves:

“The prospect of AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon does absolutely nothing for me,” Graves said. “I’m a fan of what Shane McMahon brings as a character to the show, he’s paid his dues, he’s been around the business his entire life.”

“AJ Styles is an artist,” Graves stated. “AJ can give you a full bell-to-bell cinematic experience, I’m talking in the veil of the ‘Hell In A Cell’ [match between] Triple H and The Undertaker [End of an Era], or anything Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker have done at WrestleMania. Those caliber of matches that from start to finish are art in its highest form.”

F4WOnline confirmed that Rusev underwent shoulder surgery last week. Rusev took to Twitter during RAW last night after Titus O’Neil was beaten by The Big Show to joke that perhaps Titus needed surgery as well:
