Bruce Prichard during the recent edition of the Something to Wrestle podcast on AdFreeShows.com reflected on how he wanted to restrict the WWE legend The Undertaker on getting tattoos.
Prichard went on to joke about The Undertaker, who has his body inked and spoke about The Deadman’s tattoos.
Bruce Prichard forewarned The Undertaker about his career
Tattoos play an important in the appearance of the WWE stars and it also defines the gimmick of the stars. WWE has seen many stars who has great tattoos to flaunt. The Undertaker is one of them. But, as revealed by Prichard, he was advised not get his body inked or it would ruin his career. WWE star claims Bruce Prichard ruined his career
He said:
“Yeah, Undertaker, man. I told him from day one (laughs). When he got that first big tattoo, ‘Oh god damn it Mark, stop! This is going to ruin your career.’ You know, you’ve got to limit yourself! It’s very bad for your career. Your push is stopped right now! I’m going to stop pushing you! Umm, no! A part of that is 100 percent true (laughs), the advice that I gave ‘Taker, don’t ever get a tattoo.”
During the podcast Prichard also stated that Vince McMahon had a problem back in the day when the WWE stars would ink themselves in an unusual manner. Undertaker WrestleMania loss was ‘refused’ by WWE
Prichard further explained that the times have changed, and the stigma attached to tattoos of the 1970s and 80s is not present these days.
He said:
“I don’t know, you know. There had been some that, he was probably going, ‘What the hell? What the hell did you do? Why did you do that?’ But, especially now in the 2000s, where tattoos don’t have the same stigma that they had in the 70s and 80s. It’s a little different.”
Many stars of the present sport the tattoos but Rhea Ripley had once revealed how WWE refrained her from getting his upper body tattooed.
