Tallulah Willis is celebrating her journey of growth and recovery. The 29-year-old actress, known as the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, shared a series of photos that reflect the changes in her body as she heals from an eating disorder.
On Tuesday, Tallulah posted the pictures on her Instagram account along with a trigger warning. She explained that the post included an image from a period before she began her recovery from the eating disorder.
In her caption, Tallulah expressed her love and admiration for her past self, acknowledging the bravery she’s shown throughout her journey. She encouraged her followers to stay determined on their own paths to recovery, concluding with hashtags like “iloveme” and “edrecovery.”
“TW: ED pre-recovery image~ I love her. And I love her, and I see how courageous she’s been. steady on the course my bbs ☀️,” Tallulah wrote, adding hashtags that read “iloveme” and “edrecovery.”
“Look at my healthy body!!!!” she texted in the chat alongside the image.
Following the “pre-recovery” image, Tallulah shared a screenshot of a group chat where she shared a more recent photo of her healthy body. She excitedly texted, “Look at my healthy body!!!!” alongside the image. The screenshot also featured supportive messages from her older sister Rumer Willis and her sister Scout Willis.
The last photo in Tallulah’s series displayed an assortment of fruits on a platter, including grapes and plums.
Earlier in May, Tallulah wrote a deeply personal essay for Vogue, where she candidly discussed her battle with anorexia nervosa, body dysmorphia, depression, as well as her diagnoses of ADHD and borderline personality disorder. Her recent Instagram post seems to echo her commitment to overcoming these challenges and embracing her journey of recovery.
