Ronda Rousey is another former UFC star who went to WWE, and she was not seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 back in 2019, where she dropped the RAW Women’s Title to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match which also had Charlotte Flair in the mix. Ronda Rousey also showed her backside in a photo with Becky Lynch previously as well.

Since then fans simply did not know whether the Rowdy One would ever return to WWE as they had lost all hope. However, their hope bore fruit in the end.

Rousey, who made her shocking and surprise return to the WWE at the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble premium live event earned herself a shot at a WWE Women’s Championship match against the champion of her choosing at WWE WrestleMania 38. WWE WrestleMania 38 will be held this year at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas from April 2-3.

The former RAW Women’s Champion ended up choosing Charlotte Flair as her opponent. Ronda Rousey has been appearing in quite a few WWE live events, all before WrestleMania 38 in April. The addition of Rousey and a solid Friday Night Smackdown last week has led to very solid numbers in ticket sales for WWE house shows.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s strategy in using Ronda Rousey has proved to be a success so far.

“They had the Lesnar and Roman Reigns contract signing. They had Ronda Rousey who is drawing people right now. The house shows over the weekend did big last couple of days after Ronda Rousey was announced and these were shows, Rochester, on Sunday, was dying until about a week ago. It was in the two thousands and ended up at like 4,600. I mean, they had a great last couple of days.

We’ll see if that happens to The Garden. The Garden was at 5,600 as of the last time I checked. That is the most pushed house show… When was the last time they ever pushed a house show like that?”
