It appears that Cain Velasquez will be returning to WWE soon.
The former UFC star made his debut for the company during SmackDown’s premiere episode on Fox back in October this year and he then wrestled Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.
The former Champion, however, lost this bout and then WWE nixed a match he was expected to compete in during a live event in Mexico in November.
Now Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Velasquez is booked for the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV taking place on January 26th in Houston, Texas at the Minute Maid Park.
Though the report does not elaborate on what the WWE star will be doing at the event so it’s hard to speculate on if he will be competing at the show or just making an appearance.
Although since WWE is not very likely to waste an appearance from him either ways, we can expect to see some major development and get an idea about his future during the show.
