WWE recently confirmed that former UFC Star Cain Velasquez has signed a 2 years deal with the company and he has actively retired from the world of MMA.
During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, the former UFC Champion talked about a number of things and he also revealed Dana White’s reaction to his WWE signing.
According to Velasquez, White was very supportive of his decision to sign with the promotion and the UFC President gave Cain his blessing for the wrestling career:
“He just supported me 100 percent. He thanked me for everything that I did. I thanked him and the company for everything that they did. He just gave me his full blessing. He said, ‘This is awesome, what you’re doing. Go ahead, you have my full consent to go ahead and do what you want to do.’”
Cain Velasquez made his WWE debut during last week’s episode of SmackDown and he is now scheduled to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at the Crown Jewel PPV on October 31.
