UFC Heavyweight Star Cain Velasquez Very Interested in WWE Career

Former mixed martial artists and NFL stars oftentimes find their way to professional wrestling. Take the likes of Ronda Rousey, Roman Reigns, Ken Shamrock, Baron Corbin, and more for example.

However, another one of the biggest stars the UFC has ever seen is also taking a possible WWE career into consideration. Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez seems very interested in the career switch. For those of you who don’t remember, Velasquez visited the WWE Performance Center in July of last year.

Velasquez trained in the Performance Center weight room, participated in a DDP Yoga class led by WWE Hall Of Famer Diamond Dallas Page himself, and even drilled inside the ring. Ahead of his fight this weekend (Sun. February 17, 2019), Velasquez spoke about possibly going to WWE.

‘Hell Yeah I’m Interested’

When asked if he’s interested, Velasquez quickly responded with,  “Hell yeah. I am.” The Mexican star proceeded to claim that, “the transition was pretty easy.“ However, Velasquez said he’s not one to “half-a**” anything, so if he does decide to go to WWE, he’s going to give it 100 percent.  Given that, any move to WWE would likely come after his MMA career is done.

For those of you interested, Velasquez main events UFC Phoenix this weekend against knockout artist Francis Ngannou at UFC on ESPN 1. Check out his comments regarding WWE in the video player below:
