Candice LeRae reportedly set to make appearances on SmackDown live events

A NXT Superstar is in the talks to make a shift towards the main roster.

PWInsider has reported that Candice LeRae is being considered to start making appearances on SmackDown’s live events.

This is a common way for WWE to groom NXT call-ups before their main roster TV debut by having them work some live events first. Nikki Cross had also gone through the same method, before making her main roster debut in December 2018.

She made an appearance in NXT first in May of 2017, and also took part in the Mae Young Classic tournament. She signed a deal with the company in January 2018 and was part of her husband Johhny Gargano’s feud with Andrade “Cien” Almas.

Technically in her first main roster appearance, LeRae competed in the 2019 Royal Rumble where she entered at number 17 and lasted almost a good 10 minutes.
