Carmella breaks WWE record

Carmella made history back on June 18th when she won the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match after James Ellsworth climbed the ladder and dropped the briefcase down to her. It seems, now, that the Princess of Staten Island has further cemented her legacy revolving the MITB match after it was revealed that she’s held the briefcase for 281 days.

WWE broke the news earlier today that Carmella had broken the record in an article they posted on their site today.

The Money in the Bank record book just became even more F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.

After 281 days of moonwalking, trash-talking and keeping every single SmackDown LIVE female Superstar on her toes, Carmella has now held the Money in the Bank contract longer than anyone in WWE history. The Princess of Staten Island surpassed the likes of Edge, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Kane and literally every other Superstar to hold the all-powerful contract. #MellaIsMoney has never rang truer, and, naturally, Carmella took to Twitter to proudly celebrate the milestone.

Ms. Money in the Bank, indeed.

Carmella also tweeted about her record earlier on in the day.

Carmella also made sure to let her fans, and the WWE Universe, know that she has 84 days left to cash in her briefcase.
