Cesaro on if he prefers singles or tag team wrestling

Many fans believe that Cesaro is a world champion material but the Swiss Superman has found much more success as part of various tag teams in WWE compared to his singles achievements.

The former US Champion recently had an interview on the Chasing Glory podcast where he talked about a number of things and also revealed if he prefers competing in singles or tag team action.

Cesaro said that it’s a different ball game to be part of a tag team and finding success in that division and he went on to claim that he is just trying to make the most out of the situation he has been given:

“Do I prefer singles or tag? It’s a different challenge. You know what I mean? It’s a different ball game. Would I like to have more success in the singles? Yes, there’s still a ways to go, but if you look back at it, I’m just trying to make out of the situation that I’m given. It’s the same thing like you try to control what you can to the best of your abilities.”

Though when asked if he still has world title aspirations in his mind, the former champion replied positively saying that he is not the kind of guy who is just grateful to be in the company:

“Always. It has to be, right? Again, I’m competitive and that’s what drives you. I’m not the guy that comes in and like, ‘Alright! It’s great to show up. I’m gonna go into catering and eat a bit.’ That’s the goal. You want to be the best every time you step into the ring and I want to be in the best shape, I want to put on the best match, again, with whatever parameters I got.”

Cesaro has won over half a dozen tag titles in WWE with partners such as Sheamus and Tyson Kidd while he has only won the US title once when it comes to achievement in singles career.
