Chad Gable was called up from NXT as a member of American Alpha. Following their disbanding, he was made into Shorty G and now that gimmick is over.
During Gable’s feud with King Corbin, he called Gable “Shorty G” and WWE went with that name for his current run. He was not picked during the 2020 WWE Draft and on this week’s Friday Night Smackdown, he was decimated by Lars Sullivan.
Following his loss, he was interviewed by Kayla Braxton, where he said “I quit” before leaving. He then told Adam Pearce later on “I quit being Shorty G.”
