Charlotte Flair Breaks Script With Rhea Ripley

Many fans are inclined to agree that Charlotte Flair’s talents as an in-ring competitor are unparalleled. After her return, Charlotte Flair faced off against Rhea Ripley and Asuka at WWE WrestleMania Backlash for the RAW Women’s Championship but was unable to win the match and become the new RAW Women’s Champion. She ultimately won the title at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view but lost it the next day to Nikki A.S.H., who cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase and became the new RAW Women’s Champion. Charlotte Flair also left a WWE show for AEW Dynamite previously.

Charlotte Flair would win back her title at WWE SummerSlam as she defeated Nikki A.S.H and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match. Many fans were furious at this outcome, but Charlotte Flair does not care. After the WWE draft last year, she became the Smackdown Women’s Champion and lost it to Ronda Rousey at WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

She returned to Smackdown last year and beat Rousey for the title.

Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair have been building up their rivalry since Rhea won the Royal Rumble earlier this year. Fans are excited about the matchup as it has been three years in the making. The two women have been taking shots at each other on their respective brands and have even confronted each other a few times.

On a recent episode of the blue brand, Charlotte Flair defeated Shotzi in a match where Rhea Ripley taunted her from ringside. Despite the distraction, Flair won by making Shotzi tap out while maintaining eye contact with Rhea.

After the match, both women had an awkward promo segment where they took shots at each other. According to Fightful Select, the segment deviated from the original plan, but there were no details about what the original plan was.

We’re told the Charlotte-Rhea Ripley promo “deviated a little bit off the original plan,” but weren’t told how.
