Charlotte Flair Can’t Return To WWE?

Charlotte Flair failed to successfully defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey as the former ended up screaming the words, ‘I Quit’ at WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event. The match received a lot of praise for being much better than expected.

Following the conclusion of the match, WWE commentators noted that ‘The Queen’ suffered an injury but it seems it is kayfabe. As per WWE’s medical update, Flair suffered a fractured radius during her loss to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. She was written off TV as she will reportedly take some time off after a seven-month run as the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Charlotte Flair will be “out of action indefinitely”

During this morning’s episode of WWE’s The Bump, it was announced that Flair will be “out of action indefinitely” following her “I Quit” match against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. WWE is claiming that Flair suffered a fracture of the radius in the match. For those who are unaware, the radius is a forearm bone.

Dave Meltzer had previously revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Charlotte will be on a break from WWE for the foreseeable future as she plans on getting married to Andrade:

“That is, in fact, the case. It’s the angle to write her off to get married. So, yeah!”

Meltzer speculated that the nature of the worked injury should realistically keep her out of action for at least a couple of months:

“Well, if you do a broken arm injury, you have to be out of action for at least a couple of months, or else it’s kind of like a stupid injury to do, you know, because it’d be so fake as you broke your arm and you’re back in four weeks. So, yeah, I don’t know how long (she will be out for).”

We will have to see when WWE brings back Charlotte into the programming.
