Charlotte Flair Suspension Bombshell Revealed

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was recently involved in a similar incident, compared to the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi. The team recently grabbed the headlines when they took a huge step during last night’s WWE RAW.

There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building. It turns out that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi reportedly won’t be fired.

WWE feared that Charlotte Flair might leave WWE

WWE have feared that Sasha Banks and Naomi would join AEW if they would be fired from the company. They have been in fear for Charlotte as well. ‘The Queen’ had gone off-script during her segment with Becky Lynch and was sent home. However, she wasn’t suspended because WWE feared she’d go to AEW.

As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lynch was furious with Flair after the angle. WWE sent Flair home, but she was soon brought back. WWE allegedly didn’t want her to join AEW and didn’t take any harsh action against her:

“Lynch was furious and Flair, who had expressed concern about thinking the segment didn’t make sense, went out and didn’t do it as told. She was sent home, but was quickly brought back. We were told at the time the decision was made not to punish her or get rid of her because they didn’t want to hand Flair to AEW. With Naomi & Banks, even though neither is pushed at the level of Flair, the idea may be the same.”

Naomi and Sasha Banks were scheduled to be a part of a six-pack challenge on the May 16 episode of Raw. The match was to feature Naomi, Sasha, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Nikki A.S.H., and Doudrop. The winner was to get a shot at Bianca Belair‘s Raw Women’s Championship. The main event was altered as Asuka defeated Lynch in a singles match. We will see what is next for ‘Boss n Glow’ moving forward.
