Fans recently got to witness Charlotte Flair on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. That led to a challenge from Sonya Deville for Flair’s Title, calling Flair’s 14th Title win into question since she beat a tired and hurting Rousey. Flair accepted her challenge and then decided to have the match tonight, and you can find out how everything played out below.

The match was made official. The final moments of the match saw Deville hung up Flair on the top rope but the Champ hit a spear and then went for the Figure 4 and bridged to the Figure 8

‘The Queen’ is certainly one of the top stars of the company. Fans had been missing her for a long time. She finally made her return to SmackDown and challenged Ronda Rousey for the title. Ronda Rousey lost her title to Charlotte on SmackDown, and botched a promo beforehand, wondering if Charlotte wanted a match at SummerSlam, then correcting herself and stating the Royal Rumble. Rousey had successfully defended her title against Raquel Rodriguez but ‘The Queen’ made her return and dethroned Rousey.

Charlotte Flair had been away from WWE programming since she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May this year.  After that match in Providence, R,I., WWE wrote Flair off television by claiming she had suffered a fractured radius. In reality, Flair was scheduled to take time away from WWE to marry AEW star, Andrade El Idolo in Mexico. The pair tied the knot at the end of May after becoming engaged in January 2020.
