The professional wrestling and sports entertainment world has been reeling after the shocking and disgusting alligations of sexual assault issued toward WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair during this past week’s edition of ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ where a flight attendanant that was on the infamous ‘Plane ride from hell’ stated that Flair allegedly forced himself onto the stewardess. Chris Jericho recently ‘went after’ this top AEW star’s sister.
Former WWE and ECW star, Tommy Dreamer would attempt to downplay the alligations by refering to the matter as a ‘gag’, also stating: “if that’s how she felt, maybe she should have not taken a payout and went to the fullest extent of the law to then truly put this heinous person in jail.” during the episode. For his remarks, Dreamer was fined indefinately by Impact Wrestling.
Following this, Dreamer would then issue a statement which was to serve as an apology which stated how he apologizes to anyone that he offended for his comments used on the VICE mini-series. Former AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho would respond to Dreamer’s apology on social media via Instagram by stating: “Forgiven”.
However, over on the ever-popular Squared Circle subreddit, certain fans were unhappy with Chris Jericho’s response. One user named Impossible_Aerie_245 said: “Jericho cheats on his wife constantly, is associated with people who did protests at the capital, was against BLM and was a Covid denier. Just because he donates money to wrestlers who need it doesn’t make him a great person.”
