Chris Jericho claims he is not done with NJPW

Chris Jericho defended his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against Tetsuya Naito at the Wrestle Kingdom 13 event and the former WWE Star lost the belt to the NJPW Star.

Due to this and the rumors of his involvement with All Elite Wrestling, a lot of fans believed that Jericho is done with the Japanese promotion after the event; however, according to the former World Champion himself, this is not the case.

Jericho was interviewed by Yahoo! Japan after his loss at the show and the wrestling legend not only claimed that he is not done, but went on to challenge the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi

“It is a big mistake if [you] think that the time with me and [New Japan Pro Wrestling] will be over, I kept the [Intercontinental Belt] for the longest in 2018. So, let me tell you, I want to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Belt. … Chris Jericho will challenge the IWGP Heavyweight Champion and you will understand!”

It’s worth mentioning here that in previous interview, Jericho had claimed that a number of matches have been pitched to him by NJPW officials so it wouldn’t be a big surprise if he actually ends up continuing his tenure with the company.
