Chris Jericho explains how they put together recent Dynamite Street Fight

The May 6 edition of AEW dynamite featured a highly praised street fight between the teams of Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara and Kenny Omega & Matt Hardy.

During a recent interview with BarstoolSports.com, Chris Jericho talked about the bout and he revealed how they put the match together:

“We did a street fight where we fought throughout the whole concourse. Why? Because it was there. I got asked, ‘How long did it take you to plan it?’ Two hours. We got to the building, walked around, ‘Oh, there’s an ice machine. Matt, can you fit in this?’ There were golf carts, a scissors lift, we’re just finding this stuff to use. This is the only time where we’re going to be able to have this type of match. You take advantage of what’s there and use it to the best of your ability.”

The former AEW World Champion continued by saying that he had a blast putting the bout together and competing in it and he revealed that everything that happened was pre-planned:

“I had a blast putting it together and blast doing it. Little details, Matt hits me with a bag of ice. We cut the bag of ice so it would explode. Money in the ATM so when Sammy threw Kenny into the ATM, we could find the money. Even the stupid witches hat, with the traffic cone, it wasn’t planned.”
