Chris Jericho gives thoughts on ‘Eddie Guerrero’ end to MJF match at AEW Full Gear

The creative process in AEW is different compared to other professional wrestling such as WWE. Chris Jericho also has the ability to give more input in storylines in the company and he is not afraid to speak up when he does not like something.

Jericho recently spoke on Keeping it 100 where he went into detail regarding his storylines in AEW. He said that his angles always generate heat. He added that there are beginnings, middles and proper ends as well. A proper form of storytelling takes time to buildup and does not have to be identical every time. He then talked about his match against MJF at AEW Full Gear.

“A couple weeks ago when I was on commentary, MJF attacked me. We let them know it wasn’t going to be a finger poke of doom. Then when we had the match, it was very serious until the finish, which you kind of have to do, that sort of Eddie Guerrero finish for where we’re going. My feuds always have heat. They always have a beginning, middle, and end, and it’s always planned out accordingly. Sometimes you might just have to wait, but isn’t that what good storytelling is?”

MJF eventually defeated Chris Jericho in the match and became part of The Inner Circle. Jericho continues to be a highlight on AEW Dynamite and that is unexpected to change anytime soon.
