Many thought Chris Jericho was done with NJPW after his match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 but he surprised everyone by winning the IWGP Intercontinental Championship at Dominion.
During a recent interview on Sean Waltman’s X-Pac 1-2-360 podcast, Jericho discussed working matches with Waltman, his upcoming Rock ‘n Wrestling Rager Cruise and more.
While talking about his future with the Japan-based promotion, the former World Champion revealed that there are a couple of more matches in the works and he may stay there for a little longer:
I didn’t expect to be doing more matches with New Japan as of January of this year and now that I’ve done another one and there’s a couple more in the pipeline I might decide to stay a little longer.
No word yet on how this will affect Chris Jericho’s WWE future, but him working more matches for NJPW most likely means that Jericho won’t be having a long stint with the company anytime soon.
