The Ayatollah of Rock n’ Rolla has done it yet again. Chris Jericho, the IWGP Intercontinental Champion, has made yet another surprise return to NJPW at the King of Pro-wrestling pay-per-view.
Jericho appeared at the event disguised as one of the masked druids who were present during LIJ member EVIL’s entrance. Jericho then ended up surprising the second-in-command of LIJ by attacking him from behind and revealing himself.
The seeds for this rivalry had been sown earlier this year at the Dominion pay-per-view where EVIL made a run-in save for his leader, Tetsuya Naito, who was being attacked by Jericho after their match.
Now, it seems like Jericho has repaid the King of Darkness with double the interest as he left him laying in the middle of the ring, helpless and battered.
