Chris Jericho reveals if he can still work with NJPW

Chris Jericho started his independent stint with NJPW in 2017 and his run with the company ultimately led to his signing with the upstart promotion AEW.

 


 

During a recent interview with MMA Show podcast, the AEW World Champion talked about his journey from NJPW to AEW and how his run helped NJPW in detail.

Jericho also revealed some interesting details about his AEW contract, claiming that it allows him to still work with the Japanese promotion if he wants to:

“I can do New Japan shows, if it doesn’t conflict with AEW. I did one earlier this year, where I had an IWGP Championship match against Kazuchika Okada. I might do some more with them. But it’s pretty much exclusive.”

Jericho also talked about his Wrestle Kingdom match with Kenny Omega saying that it led to a lot of American fans getting their first taste of the company and mentioned how the subscribers of NJPW world went up after his bout.
