WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has the final say in everything that goes on in WWE, down to the most minute of details. He is also infamous for having a lot of peculiar habits and pet peeves that seem very weird to most people. This includes him hating a very famous pro wrestling term for some reason, with a ban on ‘rasslin.’
Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho spent several years working with Vince McMahon and is well aware of how he functions. Jericho recently spoke to Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, where he revealed a very interesting thing about Vince McMahon. Jericho noted that Vince McMahon absolutely detests the word “rasslin,” due to the old-school roots and how the sound of the word as well. Ironically he would abhor the name of the podcast as well.
“You know who hates the word ‘rasslin’? Vince McMahon. That’s how he’ll equate something if it’s a bad idea. He’ll go, ‘Oh, that’s such a rasslin’ idea. That’s just rasslin’.’”
Vince McMahon certainly has his own reasons for loving and hating various things. Some would argue that there is genius to his madness, while others just say he is an out of touch old man that should retire as soon as possible.
