Chris Jericho spoke to The Aquarian, where he revealed he makes fun of himself during AEW Dynamite. He knows what responds well to the fans and already has a great rapport with them. So he does not take himself too seriously and makes a lot of jokes at his own expense in his promos.
“You can never take yourself too seriously. Especially in this business. People don’t like that. Plus, if I can’t insult myself, who can I insult? I like to bust my own balls. People respond to that,”
The AEW World Champion is no doubt one of the top stars in the company and will be the top heel for a long time. Jericho continues to reinvent himself and never becomes stale. We will have to see if Jon Moxley will decide to join The Inner Circle on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
