Chris Jericho upset over Good Brothers backtracking on AEW deal

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were frustrated with their booking in WWE and were ready to leave the company last year. However, they stayed after AJ Styles and Triple H persuaded them.

Following their WWE departure this year, many fans believed they would go to AEW as the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are good friends with the two. They also developed a good relationship with Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley during their stint in WWE as well.

However, they ultimately signed with Impact Wrestling. According to a report by Fightful Select, Chris Jericho was apparently upset at their decision. Jericho believed it was a done-deal they would come to AEW, but that did not end up happening.

On Talk n’ Shop: Countdown to F*cktown, Anderson and Gallows revealed that a friend who is a high-profile star in AEW and has influence is upset due to their actions. They apologized for it and said that although it was a mistake, it was a business decision in the end. It is likely they were referring to Jericho.

The Good Brothers will be appearing on Slammiversary tonight.
