Chris Rock fires back at Will Smith after apology

As reported by Deadline, the comedian recently brought up the incident during one of his shows in London. It is worth noting that Will Smith played the role of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali in a 2001 film titled, ‘Ali’. While talking about the slap, he said:

“Yes, that shit hurt. He played Ali. I can’t even play Floyd Mayweather.”

Chris Rock further went on to address the apology video made by Smith during his set and stated:

“F*ck your hostage video.”

The Hollywood actor Will Smith was furious as he had stormed the Oscars stage. He smacked comedian Chris Rock across the face for joking about his wife, in a moment at the gala event that immediately went viral. The incident had stunned the viewers questioning if it had been scripted or genuine. However, it is still not clear.

Academy Award winner had also recently posted a video on his social media channels answering questions about slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars earlier this year.

In the video, Smith was asked why he didn’t apologize to Rock during his acceptance speech.

“I was fogged out by that point,” Will Smith said. “It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk. And when he is, he will reach out.”

“I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you,” he continued. “My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”
