CM Punk possibly working on WWE Backstage has been one of the most talked-about stories of the past month and while reports suggest that it’s a done deal, the former World Champion is claiming that he hasn’t heard back about it.
Punk recently had an interview with Barstool Sports’ My Mom’s Basement podcast where he talked about his acting career, doing commentary work and more.
When asked about his tryouts for WWE Backstage, the former WWE Champion claimed that he hasn’t heard back from Fox officials regarding the show since his audition:
“I did the FOX thing, they asked me to come out and I was already in LA, so I went into the FOX studios. I guess you could call it an audition? I haven’t heard a thing. I was told WWE wasn’t involved, but who knows? It could be why I haven’t heard anything yet,”
While CM Punk is claiming that he hasn’t heard back from Fox, his actions seem to suggest otherwise and we will have to wait and see if he ends up working on the new WWE show or not.
