CM Punk Confronted About WWE Return

Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has not been seen on WWE television since the 2014 edition of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He walked out of the company the next day and has not looked back since then. Following his WWE exit, many fans have been wanting to see Punk make his return to the company every year. He has yet to make his return to the squared circle and at this point, it seems very unlikely. A WWE Superstar was also previously punished for ripping off CM Punk.

CM Punk has been in talks with AEW for quite a while as indicated by reports and it all came true as The Second City Saint made his return to pro wrestling on AEW Rampage: The First Dance back in August.

CM Punk is also aware of the fact that a pandemic is going on. Due to that, he told fans who wait at airports to get autographs from him to stop doing that. With the Royal Rumble set to take place next week on January 29th, a fan asked CM Punk whether he would be part of the match during AEW Rampage.

This fan simply asked CM Punk, “are you going to be in the Rumble this year?” CM Punk was naturally taken aback by the question as he said, “No, why would I be there?” The fan said, “Okay, just making sure.”

The Royal Rumble will be held on January 29th of this year at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This will be the first Royal Rumble event to air on the Peacock streaming service in the United States. However, while the event will be airing in the United States, it will be airing on the WWE Network internationally. In keeping with tradition, there will be a men’s and a women’s Royal Rumble match along with special guest entrants. One such name is actor and stuntman Johnny Knoxville along with current Impact Wrestling Knockout World’s Champion – Mickie James, who will be competing in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
