There have been numerous rumors regarding CM Punk and Daniel Bryan signing with AEW. The AEW President Tony Khan recently opened up on the potential signings.
Tony Khan breaks his silence on CM Punk and Daniel Bryan
During an interview with the New York Post, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the Bryan and Punk rumors. It is believed that both are signed or very close to being signed. But, Khan is not confirming or denying anything. Keith Lee ‘Furious’ With Bobby Lashley Match?
When asked if he was in talks for any former WWE Champions, Khan said the following:
“I have no comment on those, but those are good questions but I can’t comment on those.”
Khan was then asked what it would mean for a company other than AEW to add Daniel Bryan and CM Punk to their roster at the same time. Khan said the following:
“I can’t comment on those two guys, but I think there are certainly a lot of exciting rumors right now.”
It was previously noted that Punk has not denied the rumors and many believe that he will make his AEW debut in Chicago at the All Out pay-per-view and Bryan could make his debut at the New York City show on September 21. We will have to see how this situation progresses and there is huge possibility that we could see both the former WWE stars in AEW.
