CM Punk made his first advertised appearance on WWE Backstage this week and it appears that the former Champion’s presence helped the show in gaining a viewership boost.
This week’s episode of the show featuring Punk’s interview with Renee Young where he talked about his WWE future and more got a total of 180,000 viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.
Last week’s episode of the show had done 100,000 viewers so it means that the presence of Punk over the likes of Adam Cole and more helped the show in getting 80% more viewers.
This is the second week the viewership for WWE Backstage has seen an increase after the show’s official premiere on November 5 at FS1 at 11pm ET drew only 49,000 viewers.
This week’s episode of Raw has also seen an increase in viewership and the show had averaged 2.127 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.058 million viewers.
