The former WWE star CM Punk had gained popularity performing in different wrestling promotions, one of which was Ring of Honor(ROH).
Samoa Joe, who was recently released by WWE due to budget cuts was also a part of ROH. Punk and Joe both shared their time in ROH and have put on some great matches there.

Punk have been slamming the rumors of a potential return to the squared circle anytime soon. He had left WWE in 2014 and had announced that he will never return to wrestling.
It is unlikely they would ever cross paths. But, who knows, the world of wrestling is unpredictable and we might end up witnessing a match between them in the future.
