CM Punk reveals multiple serious fights with AJ Lee after leaving WWE

CM Punk is one of the top WWE wrestlers of all time. Punk is responsible for reviving WWE and bringing a lot of fans back into the wrestling world. However, when the time came, Punk and WWE parted ways on the worst of terms.

Punk did not appreciate the creative vision that WWE had for his character. On top of that, he was wrestling while hurt and even had a serious infection that WWE doctors did not diagnose. Following multiple disagreements with WWE, CM Punk was released by WWE. He received the notification that he was fired on his wedding day with AJ Lee.

Later Punk appeared on Colt Cabana’s podcast and made the situation of his release from WWE extremely clear. As a result, Punk was sued by the doctor in question, with WWE supporting the doctor. In the middle of all this, AJ Lee was still employed by WWE.

Punk revealed during his interview with Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions podcast, that during this period he had multiple fights with AJ Lee.

“I don’t know if anything changed. It was just hard. Being sued by this company. There were probably like a lot of arguments, a lot of fights that were a manifestation of me being angry.”

“It was hard on her ’cause she was still working there, and also her neck got messed up, there was a lot going on. But obviously it made us stronger.”

Thankfully the fights would not drive a wedge between them, and the two of them are very happy together. During the interview, Punk also revealed what would bring him out of retirement and back to WWE.
