According to PWInsider, CM Punk was present at FOX studios for a role on the new Fox Studios 1 show WWE Backstage which will air from November 5. Punk apparently tested some on-camera material in the presence of Renee Young. It is yet to be known whether the former WWE star has signed a deal or not.

Apart from Punk, FOX have been recruiting several names for the show namely Taz, who has been brought in several times over the course of the last few months. Other names who have been brought in for a potential role include Paige, Sean Waltman, and Rey Mysterio.
It is to be noted that WWE Backstage will be produced by FOX, so should Punk accept the role, he would be working for FOX and not the WWE.
