CM Punk’s MMA Teammate: He’s Gonna Surprise Some People

Former WWE Superstar CM Punk is almost set to make his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in the UFC, and his teammate and former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis believes Punk will actually surprise some fans. During a recent interview with Rodolfo Roman, Pettis had this to say:

“Punk is looking good, he’s going to surprise some people,” Pettis told The Roman Show. “He’s put the time in and it’s been a long time coming. It’s a couple of weeks away, and he’s getting ready.”

“People think he’s horrible, that’s not the case,” he added.

Punk will make his MMA debut against young Mickey Gall (2-0) on the main card of UFC 203 live on pay-per-view (PPV), from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on September 10, 2016.
