“Codebreaker” reportedly belongs in the banned word list from now on

It is safe to say that Chris Jericho and the WWE’s relationship has hit a dead end ever since the former made the switch to the newly formed All Elite Wrestling. The WWE might eradicate all of Jericho’s references from their content after already removing the wrestler from their intro video.

In their latest move, the WWE have apparently banned the usage of the word Codebreaker in their program as per Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio.

The move is now adapted by Ricochet, who reportedly asked Jericho’s permission before using it. The commentators would be forced to call it a double knee facebreaker with the word Codebreaker being off limits now.

Take this Meltzer “news” with a pinch of salt. Go read the linked article above where Jericho said he told Ricochet to change the name. I will take Jericho’s words over Meltzers.

It was called the Codebreaker (or rather mispronounced as codebroker at Stomping grounds).
As for the name, in the last story that was put on this site, Jericho said he gave Ricochet permission to use it but also told him to change the name, so I will take this Meltzer news story with pinch of salt.
