Reports on Cody Rhodes and Bray Wyatt

Cody Rhodes had defeated Seth Rollins for the third time since making a shocking return to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Rhodes picked up a huge win over Rollins inside the Hell In A Cell at the namesake Premium Live event. It was previously speculated that he might not be a part of the show as it was announced that he suffered an injury. He also cut an emotional promo following the victory.

Fightful Select reported that they spoke with “numerous sources in WWE who said that at the time that Cody Rhodes sustained his injury, Vince McMahon had not solidified plans to make Cody Rhodes the WWE or Universal Champion.”

The report noted that McMahon was “all on board” for the Reigns double title reign, and there were no ideas “floated from Vince that would have indicated he was ready to move on from that this summer.”

One the other hand, a video clip has surfaced from a live event and once again White Rabbit was playing. The former WWE Universal Champion, Bray Wyatt possibly returning to WWE created a buzz. Wyatt reportedly had a flight booked for a WWE return at Clash At The Castle. It turns out his return to the squared circle has been delayed. Meanwhile, fans were frenzied after last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Ronda Rousey had also opened up on the rumors.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio stated that WWE is seeing big gains from this mysterious White Rabbit, because WWE is already selling a lot of White Rabbit merchandise.

“He’ll sell merch. They’re already selling White Rabbit merch at the shows and they’re selling really big. So from a merch standpoint he’ll be really big.”

Several fans on Twitter have noted that WWE has now released White Rabbit merch amid rumors of Wyatt potentially returning to the company, meaning if it’s Wyatt, he’ll get a cut. During the September 16th episode of SmackDown, arena speakers played the iconic 1967 psychedelic rock song “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane. Red lights were flashed and the crowd turned on their phones’ flashlights – similar to how it was done during Wyatt’s entrances.
