Cody Rhodes Breaks Down Crying At Gym

Cody Rhodes had defeated Seth Rollins for the third time since making a shocking return to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Rhodes picked up a huge win over Rollins inside the Hell In A Cell at the namesake Premium Live event. It was previously speculated that he might not be a part of the show as it was announced that he suffered an injury. He also cut an emotional promo following the victory. A positive update had previously emerged on him. Now, ‘ The American Nightmare’ himself opened up on his recovery.

Cody Rhodes shares honest thoughts on his recovery

The 37-year-old took to Twitter today to reveal that his torn pectoral has been awful. He pointed to his family as the best reason not to “tap out” during his recovery.

“How’s pt going?” It’s fn’ awful. Everyday we dig into the muscle, then I scream, half the time I spot a tear flowing. It’s a near impossible task getting a bodypart that had been shredded to 100%…or Hell even 90%. But on the worst of days I have the best reason to not tap out,” tweeted Rhodes.

Fightful Select reported that they spoke with “numerous sources in WWE who said that at the time that Cody Rhodes sustained his injury, Vince McMahon had not solidified plans to make Cody Rhodes the WWE or Universal Champion.” The report noted that McMahon was “all on board” for the Reigns double title reign, and there were no ideas “floated from Vince that would have indicated he was ready to move on from that this summer.” We will have to see when Rhodes returns and what WWE has in store.
