Cody Rhodes lashes out at AEW fan for anti-gay comments about Sonny Kiss

“The American Nightmare” is pulling no punches when it comes to dealing with ignorant pro wrestling fans on social media.

The reigning and defending TNT Champion meets Sonny Kiss in the next “Open Challenge” title defense, which goes down this coming Wednesday night as part of the AEW Fight For The Fallen special event on TNT from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ahead of this week’s show, Cody took to Twitter to respond to an ignorant wrestling fan who posted a tweet that has since been deleted that criticized AEW for giving Kiss a TNT Title shot at AEW Fight For The Fallen 2020.

“This is terrible,” Cody replied. “And you’re not worth the signal boost, but I’ll make this clear to fans worldwide: If you have a problem with a gay man receiving a title shot, you can kiss my ass.”

The AEW Executive Vice President concluded, “I’m proud to share the ring with Sonny. ”
