Cody Rhodes Massive WWE Raw Rumor Leaks

The former AEW EVP Cody Rhodes is rumored to make a return to WWE in leading up to WrestleMania. As it turns out the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW, set to be held in Jacksonville is seemingly WWE is taking a final shot to bring in the ‘American Nightmare.’ WWE would certainly love to bring back Rhodes in Jacksonville, given that he has been part of AEW which saw its home at Daily’s Place. However, Rhodes’ deal with WWE has not been closed yet. It seems should he return, Damien Priest might have to stop using his finisher which is similar to Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes is unaware of Damien Priest not using the move

According to Fightful Select, WWE producers have not been briefed about Cody’s current status. The outlet also reported that Cody didn’t even know that Damian Priest did not use his version of Cross Rhodes on TV last week. One AEW VP though believes Rhodes will go to WWE and feud with Seth Rollins.

“WWE agents/producers have not been briefed on a Cody Rhodes impending debut or signing or told of any plans about it as of yet. Those close to Cody said that he didn’t even know that Damian Priest didn’t use The Reckoning/Cross Rhodes on TV last week until we inquired about it. One WWE producer says they don’t believe that could be an accident, though.”

It was noted how Cody and Brandi Rhodes were spotted at Disney in Orlando last week. The couple and their daughter visited the entertainment destination along with NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green.

During a recent edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, former five-time WCW Champion Booker T discussed the possibility of Cody Rhodes coming back to WWE. Credit to 411Mania for the following quote.

“I said, ‘Cody might be coming back.’ But I said, ‘I don’t think it’s going to be anything that’s going to happen tomorrow. I don’t think it’s going to be anything that’s going to happen on the next pay-per-view or anything like that. I think that’s what I said, but I said I am sure there’s a chance that Cody could be coming in. And there still might be a chance that Cody is going to be coming in, but I did not think it was going to be like a Brian Kendrick switch. I think that’s exactly what I said. I didn’t think it was going to be anything like that. Now, we have seen that has come to fruition.”
