The announcement that the NWA World Championship will be defended at the upcoming ALL In event was a big one and a lot of people wondered whose idea it was.
During a recent interview with Mike on Monday, Cody Rhodes talked about various things and revealed who originally pitched the title defense.
According to Cody, former TNA executive Billy Corgan wanted the NWA Championship to be represented at the show and hence he decided to challenge for the title himself:
“Billy (Corgan) wanted the NWA Championship represented on All In and I said “absolutely, and I’ll be the one to challenge for it.” We also talk a little in storyline about Nick Aldis and his refusal to want to do the match without being asked.”
Apart from this, Cody Rhodes also talked about bringing a sense of unity to independent wrestling with their event, possibly having a Live Stream for ALL In and more.
