Cody Rhodes provides response to AEW booking criticism

All Elite Wrestling booked a major match for this week’s episode of Dynamite on TNT. Darby Allin will face off against Jimmy Havoc, where the winner will be granted a shot at the AEW World Title on October 16th in Philadelphia.

Cody Rhodes would respond to a fan who said neither competitors deserved the opportunity and there were other wrestlers who were much more deserving. Rhodes explained AEW’s policy of wins and losses mattering more than ever as he revealed that the type of matches is also a factor.

Quality of wins plays a factor. Not unlike college football. Jimmy beat 2 other major players in the @CrackerBarrel Clash and…

Darby went the distance with me and defeated a legend in Cima. (That match to be featured on “AEW: DARK” this Tuesday. Hosted by @tonyschiavone24 )

The two competitors are certain to give it their all in order to become the next challenger for the AEW World Title. We wonder who will come out on top.
