In this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes returned in a new form. On the August 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes lost the AEW TNT title to Brodie Lee. After the match, Lee attacked Cody and decimated him along with Arn Anderson.
Since then, Cody has been out of action. However, he returned to AEW in this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Cody returned with black hair and a distinct clean look, something that has not been seen since the start of his time in AEW.

Cody returned at the end of the AEW TNT title match between Orange Cassidy and Brodie Lee. Lee won the match after a lot of interference from The Dark Order, but Cody came out to save Cassidy after the match. He immediately attacked everyone in the ring, while Lee beat a hasty retreat.
Cody appeared unhinged and angrier than he has been in some time. In some ways, this felt like a throw back to his ‘Undashing Cody’ gimmick from his time in WWE, but that is not confirmed.
After the appearance, Cody just wrote ‘back’ on social media, indicating that he is now back on Dynamite for good.

With Cody now back in AEW, he may look for a rematch against Brodie Lee for the TNT title soon.
