Cody Rhodes Reveals If AEW Signed Brock Lesnar

Cody Rhodes has made comments that indicate that AEW have not signed Brock Lesnar, as he described the mystery man debuting at Revolution as ‘beloved’ in locker rooms. The identity of the AEW signing appears to have leaked.

Jackson Vanik posted on the Freakin Awesome Network forum (officialfan.proboards.com), “Cody did a local radio interview and said that it’s “someone who was very helpful to me and very helpful to many who surrounded me, beloved in locker rooms the world over.”

toodarkmark responded, “It might be Angle, but Cody saying in the interview it’s “someone who was very helpful to me”. Angle left WWE in 2006, Cody started in 2007 on the main roster, Cody left in in 2016, Kurt came back to WWE in 2017. So I’m not sure when Kurt could have helped him.”

Screwball chimed in, “Cody vs. Kurt Angle was a huge series spanning multiple promotions when Cody first started wrestling on the indies, while also being some of Kurt’s final matches before returning to WWE.”

toodarkmark said, “That is true. So when he says he “helped him”, it was after Cody left WWE? That could be true. I guess in my head it was “helping” early, but it could have been helping when Cody left.”

Moxfan1 wrote, “True but felt like Cody was talking about coming up in the business along others that came up with him. Not when leaving WWE in 2016. Cody also revealed that he was in the dark about the signing until recently. He said usually talent reaches out to him(Paul Wight did) and he goes to Tony Khan.” Fans have gone so far as to speculate The Rock AEW signing rumors.
