The former AEW EVP Cody Rhodes has been slated to make his return to WWE soon. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW has been billed as WWE WrestleMania RAW and the show is the final RAW before ‘The Show of Shows.’ It is expected that ‘The American Nightmare’ could be making his way back to the company.
WWE might have changed plans for Cody Rhodes
WrestleMania season is full of fun and unpredictability. There has been a lot of speculation that Cody Rhodes might appear at WrestleMania 38. But there is a possibility that tonight he might show up to set up his match with Seth Rollins. It has been noted that as of a week ago, WWE had no plans to have him appear on RAW before this weekend’s marquee event.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that while anything is possible, “within the company, this was a week ago and things always change but a week ago, the talk definitely was that Cody doesn’t show up until WrestleMania.”
FightfulSelect.com reported that as of last week Cody was scheduled to fly in for Raw to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, but he isn’t currently in the script.
Rollins recently revealed that he is scheduled to have a meeting with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon this morning. Rollins previously stated that he would get what he wants. He is currently to scheduled for any match on the show. He has blown his chances to get on the card. He and Kevin Owens were unable to win the Raw Tag Team Titles a few weeks ago. Rollins also lost matches to Owens and AJ Styles where he would have taken their spot on the card if he won.
The fans are now waiting for RAW to take place as the show will be mainly revolving around the storyline of Seth Rollins and the possible return of Rhodes.
