Even though Cody is the EVP of AEW whereas Triple H is the WWE COO, the former Intercontinental Champion has a lot of respect for Triple H. While speaking on the Busted Open Radio, The American Nightmare spoke about a variety of topics including how he felt that he wasn’t used well in WWE.
Cody also talked about how much he still respects Triple H and what e would do if the two were in the same room together.
“I can go ahead and say I think a lot of things got scr**ed up with me in WWE, but if I was to be in a room with Triple H in this moment… I would shake his hand. I’d probably even give him a hug out of everything that’s happened. I learned a lot from him, and he’s on the absolute opposite side of the fence in the same role I’m in with AEW and has much more experience with it.”
Cody, who is the son of Dusty Rhodes, had left WWE in 2016. After wrestling for companies such as ROH, Impact Wrestling and NJPW, Cody is now an integral part of All Elite Wrestling.
