As reported earlier, Cody Rhodes managed to get his name back after WWE filed cancellation for the trademark on his name. However, it seems it is unlikely he will be using the name on AEW television.
During a media conference to promote Full Gear, Cody Rhodes was asked regarding his name. While he is certainly elated to have his last name back, he will not be using it in anything related to professional wrestling.
He revealed that he got his name back so that he could use it in third party projects. So, he will be known as Cody Rhodes in projects unrelated to AEW such as The Go Big Show.
He also said that there are no hard feelings between himself and WWE.
