While we try to keep politics out of our stories, it’s only factual that we speak about Colby Covington’s absolute love for anything Trump oriented. Colby has come out multiple times to show his undying love for Donald Trump in the past and to this day, Colby speaks about how much support he gives to Donald Trump. Looking like he just got a million dollars put into his bank account, Colby Covington took to Instagram to smile as big as could be as he sat side by side with Lara Trump. Lara Trump is married to Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, with whom she has two children. She is also the producer and host of Trump Productions’ “Real News Update” and a former producer of Inside Edition.
Colby was a guest on Lara’s show called “The Right View” in which many right sided and alt-right ideas are passed around while others of the same mindset watch the show. Colby may also have a new opponent very soon as Chael Sonnen recently stated in an episode of Beyond the Fight on his official YouTube channel that the UFC could’ve possibly booked Leon Edwards to be the backup fighter for the blockbuster rematch between Usman and Covington. The fight is expected to take place at UFC 268 on November 6th.
Sonnen said: “I think Leon Edwards vs. (Vicente) Luque is more likely than Luque vs. (Kamaru) Usman or Leon vs. Usman; I think. But there’s something going on with Edwards. It would seem as though Edwards has been given word from somebody, or he had a backroom deal somewhere. But he’s been noticeably quiet as of late, particularly for the huge bounce that he got after fighting Nate Diaz. He’s been oddly quiet, as though he perhaps is the backup fighter and that’s what he’s focused on between Colby (Covington) and Usman.
Sonnen continued: “I suspect that somebody is. Perhaps that’s already agreed to be Leon, and everybody agreed to keep their mouth shut. If he did agree to that, then it was perhaps told, ‘If you don’t get filled in as the backup, you will be next (to fight for the title)’. Because Edwards has been suspiciously absent.”
